Thanksgiving Week

We had a great week in both classes this past week.  Many teachers will tell you that by January the class pretty much gels together or that the teacher can wrap the kiddos around her finger by then.  While I won't say we have every kink worked out or that every day is perfect, I felt like we settled in this week in both classes.  The children in both the 2s and the Pre-K class just seem to be interacting more with each other and with me.  Thanks for allowing me to teach your children!  I hope everyone has a great holiday!  Enjoy the pictures from this week.

We love playing games.

Reading is fun too.

Puzzles after snack time are always popular.

3 amigos.

Reading with comfy pillows is always the best.

Bounce House fun in the Motor Room!

Scooters on a ramp delighted everyone!

We have turkeys on our minds...

or "The Mystery Machine" another one of our favorite things to draw and write.

Cooking up a feast in the 2s.

More bounce house fun.

Scooters!

Some of us go down without the scooters.  :)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  See you next week-we'll be talking about Fairy Tales!

Happy Thanksgiving

This past week our theme was manners.  The kids did great when asked about what good manners were and many of them were reminding each other throughout the day about them.  :)  I also had to use lots of good manners when it came to coughing and sneezing as I was getting sick.  Unfortunately I missed the last half of the week, so they're aren't any pictures to post this week.  After some antibiotics and getting my voice back, we should be good to go next week for our Thanksgiving unit.  Just a reminder that we only have 3 days of school this week!

Upcoming Events

Hello All!  I think I missed a week in here, so I apologize for that.  Time has been flying by!

Last week we had our "Bear" unit and we had lots of fun activities.  The Pre-K class heard some stories about Corduroy and even played some Corduroy games.  We also talked about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  One student knew the story so well, that he actually told the story to class and even used voices (it was so cute).  He said his grandma tells him the story all the time.  My 2 year old friends also had a good time singing some bear songs and listening to bear stories.

This week we are talking about "Manners".  Next week we'll have our Thanksgiving unit and a short week (we will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving).  After Thanksgiving, we'll be talking about Fairy Tales!

Here are a few pictures to enjoy!  Promise to have more of the Pre-K class next week!  :)
